Golf Ireland would firstly like to applaud golf clubs for their work and adherence to the Return to Golf Protocol since courses reopened in April.
We have been delighted to see our sport make a successful return over the past number of weeks.
Golf Ireland’s priority continues to be the safe resumption of all golfing activities at the earliest possible opportunity.
We have agreed with the NI Executive that the following additional activities can resume from Monday, 7th June.
From 7th June onwards:-
• A maximum of 100 spectators (not including players or officials) may attend organised outdoor events, and this will apply to organised inter-club matches.
• To facilitate a greater number of players, clubs can if they wish implement 8-minute starting intervals on their timesheets for groups of up to four golfers. However, clubs are strongly advised to consider the guidance in The R&A Pace of Play manual on recommending 10-minute intervals for four balls.

The protocol will be reviewed dependent on the prevailing public health situation in line with the NI Executive's Reopening Pathway.
We urge all club officials and members to familiarise themselves with the updated Protocol so that we can all play our part keeping our members and communities safe
