Firstly, I hope everyone is keeping well during these uncertain and difficult times - please feel free to keep in touch via manager@malonegolfclub.co.uk and let me know how you are all doing?

It's very strange and surreal not seeing everyone on a daily basis and I'm sure we all look forward to a time when we can enjoy going about our daily business and hopefully being able to play golf again - it's somewhat ironic that we have come through a wet and miserable start to the year and now we have to stay at home and can't get out to fully appreciate the better weather which has finally arrived.

For now, the most important thing is everyone's health, wellbeing and general safety - therefore we have no choice but to sit tight for the immediate future and wait until such times as the Government/governing bodies advise that it is safe to re-open the course and (at some point) the clubhouse facilities, bowling green, etc.

On a somewhat brighter note, I thought it might be good to update everyone on the works that have been taking place on the course over the last couple of months so that we have something to look forward to - further posts will soon follow here on the 'General News' section of the Club website and I will attempt to take you through the work on a hole by hole basis.

Stay safe & best regards,

Paddy Dean
