As can be seen from the image below, the two fairway bunkers have now been converted into one bunker, which has been repositioned slightly so that it protrudes out more towards the fairway and away from the trees on the right hand side to prevent future intrusion by roots, which would otherwise disrupt the lining of the new bunker.
The two greenside bunkers have been remodelled in situ per Ken Kearney's instructions above. The same process has been followed as before, in that each bunker was first dug out, then reshaped and recontoured to encourage water to flow away from the bunkers and not into them when it rains, before being built back up again and new turf laid.
The images below show the fairway bunker with a new porous concrete liner and freshly laid turf, before and after the new sand was introduced.
(Fresh sand in the bunkers helps them to stand out nicely)
Lastly, the photo below shows the view from further back down the fairway, from just over 100 yards out.
The newly remodelled bunkers are hard to miss and this hole will continue to justify its low stroke index going forward!
