Michael McGee - Head Professional
Michael turned professional in 1976 becoming a Class 'A' PGA professional in 1979. He started as Senior Assistant to Keith Hockey at Parkstone in Bournemouth before spending a season on the South African tour.
Michael then moved to Charleston, South Carolina to be the Senior Assistant/Teaching Professional. Whilst there he studied under Mr. Derek Hardy at Snee Farm Country club, Derek is recognised as one of the top lady coaches in the world, coaching Sally Lyttle and Beth Daniel, both leading players on the LPGA.
Michael then returned to the UK where he finished 4th at the European Tour Qualifying school and played on the tour for a short period before taking the Club Professionals job at Carnalea Golf Club in June 1983.
He joined Malone as Club Professional in June 1993 and has since developed his teaching career. Michael has been involved with the Golfing Union of Ireland at National and Provincial level for 15 years. He has coached many of Irelands best young amateurs including Brian McElhinney (former British and European amateur champion).
Michael is always available for advice on swing and club fitting and has gained the recognition as one of the leading teachers in Ireland.
